CPVC is a new type of engineering plastic with broad application prospects. Resin is made by chlorination modification of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) resin and is a new type of engineering plastic. This product is a white or light yellow, odorless, non-toxic, loose particle or powder. After chlorination, the irregularity and polarity of the molecular bonds in PVC resin increase, resulting in increased solubility and chemical stability of the resin, thereby improving its heat resistance, acid resistance, alkali resistance, salt resistance, and corrosion resistance to oxidants. The mechanical properties of the resin have been improved in terms of thermal deformation temperature. The chlorine content has increased from 56.7% to 63-69%, and the Vicat softening temperature has increased from 72-82 ℃ to 90-125 ℃. The maximum operating temperature can reach 110 ℃, and the long-term operating temperature is 95 ℃.
Widely used in civil domestic water supply, hot water systems, pipeline direct drinking water systems, commercial pure water systems, deionized water systems for electronic industry, pure water systems for medical dialysis, cold and hot water systems for air conditioning, and other fields. In North America, PVC-C pipes in the above-mentioned fields have a market share of 30%. In recent years, civil building water supply systems, especially hot water systems, have been increasingly applied in China. The CPVC sprinkler pipe system officially entered the practical stage in the United States in 1986 and has been successfully applied for more than 20 years. It has obtained relevant testing reports from Tianjin Fire Research Institute and has also obtained certifications from UL (Underwriters Laboratories of America), ULC (Underwriters Laboratories of Canada), FM (Factory Mutual Insurance Institute of America), LPC (Property Loss Prevention Committee of the United Kingdom) and other relevant fire authorities.
CPVC fire pipes have anti ignition properties, flame retardancy, resistance to exposure and combustion, and do not cause adverse effects on the body after combustion. They also have a smooth surface, low resistance loss, energy saving, and basically no microbial erosion. The installation process is fast, reliable, and has strong pressure resistance. They are suitable for light and medium hazard level I buildings in GB50084. However, it should be noted that PVC-C fire pipes are only suitable for wet automatic sprinkler systems and are strictly prohibited from being used to transport compressed air or other gases.
CPVC hot and cold water pipes are made of seawater salt, which is environmentally friendly; The pipeline has strong chlorine resistance, so the water quality is hygienic and healthy. The pipeline system is oxygen impermeable, so it will not corrode due to oxidation. It is not only more corrosion-resistant than metal pipelines, but also more corrosion-resistant than other plastic pipelines such as PPR. It can withstand strong concentrated sulfuric acid and strong alkali corrosion; Long term heat resistance of 93 ℃ and low temperature of -26 ℃ can be achieved without any problem. The pipeline system for hot water can be buried in the cement cushion layer, while the long-term temperature resistance of PPR cannot exceed 70 ℃
